Our Bike Pick Up And Drop Off Explained

We developed our service in order to make bicycle servicing as convenient as possible, picking up your bikes at the best possible times before servicing your bike at our workshop and returning it back to you ready to ride within 72-hours. However, we appreciate that this service is new for many so we’ve stripped down exactly how the process works and why you won’t need to rely on your local bike shop for servicing any more.

1. Visit Bike Hero when you need a service or repair

When your bike is in need of a service, repair, bike safety check or something more specific then visit bike-hero.co.uk and select the service you need from the detailed list - here. We offer three different service tiers depending on how intensive a service your bike needs as well as a range of specific component services or repairs and also a bike safety check.

2. Choose your bike service or repair

If it’s a full bike service choose between Gold, Silver or Bronze, or if it’s something specific such as fitting new internal cables, wheel truing, bottom bracket servicing or something else then select Book A Custom Repair.

3. Select the amount you’re willing to spend on extra parts

This part of the process allows us to crack on with replacement parts where they are needed up to a certain price point. We will always call you during your repair or service if something major needs changing, but if you know in advance that you need a new chain for example, then select the amount you’re willing to let us crack on with your repair or service.

4. Choose your Collection / Drop-Off Date

Whether you’re wanting us to come to you at home or work to collect your bike, or if you’re looking to drop your bike off to our workshop in Chertsey in person, you’ll need to select which day you’d like to hand over your bicycle for its service or repair. Once you’ve selected your preferred day we’ll then be in touch to finalise the time window during which we’ll collect it.

5. The details stage

Choose the quantity of bikes that we’ll be picking up or you’ll be dropping off for this particular service. Once you’ve made this selection, proceed to the Checkout. Input your contact details so that we have all the information we need to get in touch to arrange the next steps. At this stage please confirm whether you will drop your bike off or if we will collect it. Please note there’s a £10 fee for the collection and drop off service. The last details step is payment details which will also cover your £10 deposit for the job.

6. The collection

Once you’ve confirmed your booking we’ll be in touch to finalise the details around your collection. On the day of collection we’ll be in touch before arriving with you to pick up your bike. We’ll then arrive in one of our electric vans to transport your bike back to our workshop.

7. The Workshop stage

We’ll carry out the bicycle repair or service in our clean and secure Chertsey workshop with our team of expert mechanics. Our turnaround time is 72h unless there’s a unique replacement part that needs ordering which is not in stock. We look after your bikes just like they are our own. Once the work’s done our customer service team will be in touch to arrange redelivery.

8. Getting you back on the road

One of our friendly team of drivers will drop your bike back to you in person freshly repaired and ready to ride.
